Calls on Congress to Improve Programs to Prevent Seasonal and Pandemic Flu Deaths
WASHINGTON, D.C. –The Alliance for Biosecurity joined letters from public health stakeholders in support of the Protecting America from Seasonal and Pandemic Influenza Act (The Influenza Act). The Influenza Act was recently introduced in the House and Senate by Representative Rick Larsen (D-WA) and Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), respectively. The Alliance calls on Congress to improve federal influenza preparedness and response programs to prevent seasonal and pandemic flu deaths.
